Project Overview: 
Elevate Washington is a statewide digital platform built to make youth programs in Washington more visible, discoverable, and data-informed. The site supports youth-serving organizations, public agencies, funders, and families through a public-facing directory, custom data insights, and a robust member backend dashboard.

My goal was to transform a complex system of youth data into a clear, people-first experience that promotes access, equity, and action.

Design Approach:
Elevate needed a digital product that served vastly different audiences—from parents looking for after-school programs to policy makers shaping state education initiatives. The site needed to:

• Streamline data collection and reporting for providers

• Deliver insight tools and analytics for funders

• Allow users to easily navigate and find after-school programs

• Showcase stories and resources to drive broader awareness

• Remain flexible for content, membership, and feature growth

The new design framework focused on balancing data utility with narrative warmth. We created a bold, modular system anchored in high-quality photography, ADA-compliant content blocks, and flexible navigation including a faceted search for the Program Directory (filter by keyword, zip, topic, age, etc.)

• Custom Member Dashboard for managing org, site, and program data

• Insight Map powered by ArcGIS to visualize equity gaps and resource access

• Content Types built for storytelling: Spotlights, Data Snapshots, Resources, and Events

Every design decision prioritized clarity, responsiveness, and long-term scalability.
